Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UNDERDRIFT GAMES LLP handles personal data in connection with underdriftgames.com and DRIFT RIDE 2: Traffic Racing on Android and iOS. The features and providers involved depend on your game version, platform, settings and choices.

Advertising rollout: the advertising and consent sections below describe the Android rewarded-ad feature being introduced with Unity LevelPlay, ironSource Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). They apply when that feature is available in your version. They do not mean that advertising is enabled in older versions or in the iOS version.

1. Who Is Responsible

UNDERDRIFT GAMES LLP is responsible for the personal data processing that we determine for our website and game.
Stoney Works, 8 Stoney Lane,
London, United Kingdom, SE19 3BD.
Email: contact@underdriftgames.com.

Platform and advertising providers may also act as independent controllers for processing they determine. Their notices are linked below. You can contact us about data processed in connection with our game even when a provider is involved.

2. Information Used by the Game

  • Progress and preferences: game progress, currency balances, vehicles, upgrades, rewards and settings are stored on your device so that the game can operate and retain your progress.
  • Platform sign-in and cloud saves: supported versions use Google Play Games on Android and Game Center/iCloud on iOS. These features use the platform player identifier, display name, sign-in status and saved game data to associate progress with the appropriate account and synchronise it. Platform credentials are handled by the platform.
  • Purchases: the game and its purchase integration process product identifiers, transaction identifiers, receipts and purchase status to deliver or restore purchased content. Google Play or Apple processes your payment. We do not receive your full payment-card details from these store purchases.
  • Technical information: Unity services included in the game may process device and operating-system information, app version, identifiers, usage events and error or crash diagnostics, depending on the services active in your version. These support operation, troubleshooting and understanding performance.
  • Support: if you email us, we receive your email address and the information and attachments you choose to send. Please do not send passwords, full card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

3. Rewarded Advertising

Where available, rewarded ads are optional and provided through Unity LevelPlay and ironSource Ads. When the advertising feature is active, the SDK and its advertising partners may process IP address and approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, device and app information, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic information. These are used to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, maintain security and, where permitted by your choices and applicable law, personalise advertising.

The game also uses the advertising provider's reward confirmation to grant the advertised bonus and prevent duplicate rewards. Not watching an ad does not remove the ordinary race reward.

Ads without personalisation can still involve personal data. Refusing personalisation is not the same as preventing all SDK processing. Where permission required to run the advertising SDK is absent, the advertising feature must remain unavailable.

Read Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy for Unity and ironSource processing, including their privacy request options.

4. Consent and Advertising Choices

In versions with the new advertising feature, Google UMP is used to request and communicate privacy choices where required. It contacts Google to determine which message applies and to manage the consent process, and stores consent information on the device. Relevant choices are made available to the advertising integration. See Google's Privacy Policy.

For players aged 18 or over, the game checks the applicable consent requirements before enabling rewarded ads. If a form is required, it is offered when you choose to watch an ad or open the advertising privacy options in the game settings. On later launches, saved consent may be checked and ads prepared in the background. You can accept, decline or manage the available options. A form may be requested again if a choice expires or relevant processing changes. Accepting our Terms is not consent to optional advertising-related processing.

In versions with this advertising feature, the game settings include an advertising privacy entry point to review or withdraw the available consent choices. If you cannot find that control, contact us at the email above. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal. Device advertising-ID settings provide additional controls but do not replace in-game privacy choices or a deletion request.

Choosing not to provide optional advertising data does not prevent ordinary gameplay. It may make rewarded ads unavailable. Information necessary for a purchase, cloud-save connection or support request is needed to provide that particular feature.

5. Website Information

Our website provides studio and game information and links to app stores. Hosting services receive technical request information, such as IP address, requested page, time and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. The website loads Google Fonts from Google servers, which receive the network request information needed to deliver those fonts. The site does not require a user account.

Game SDKs and consent tools may use device storage and identifiers. Browser cookie settings do not necessarily control those app technologies. Links to external sites are subject to those sites' own privacy notices.

6. Why We Process Data

Where UK or EU data-protection law applies, the relevant grounds depend on the processing:

  • Providing the requested service: operating game features, delivering purchases and synchronising progress where necessary to perform our agreement with you.
  • Consent: optional advertising, personalisation, analytics or access to device information where consent is required. Consent must be obtained before the processing that requires it.
  • Legitimate interests: proportionate security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and responding to enquiries, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and where consent is not otherwise required.
  • Legal obligations: handling applicable accounting requirements, lawful requests and privacy rights.

Providers explain their own purposes and legal grounds in their notices. Ad selection can involve automated profiling based on permitted information and choices; this is separate from decisions about legal rights or access to essential services.

7. Who Receives Information

Depending on the features used, recipients include Unity/ironSource for advertising and Unity game services; Google for Play Games, store purchases and UMP; Apple for Game Center, iCloud and store purchases; and our hosting and email providers for website operation and support. Advertising providers may share data with advertising buyers and measurement or fraud-prevention partners as described in their notices and the applicable consent form.

We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell support emails or game saves for money. Advertising disclosures can nevertheless fall within legal definitions of sale, sharing or targeted advertising in some US states; where applicable, you may request an opt-out through the available privacy controls or by contacting us.

Provider notices: Unity/ironSource, Google, and Apple.

8. International Processing

Our providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside your country, including outside the UK or European Economic Area. Their linked notices describe processing locations and transfer arrangements. Where we are responsible for a restricted transfer, an applicable lawful transfer mechanism is required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for details of the safeguards relevant to your data or to request a copy where available.

9. How Long Information Is Kept

Local progress and settings remain until removed, overwritten or otherwise cleared on the device. Cloud saves can remain with the platform independently of a local uninstall. Support correspondence is retained for the time needed to resolve the matter and any related dispute. Purchase or legal records may need to be retained for applicable accounting, fraud-prevention or legal-claim periods.

Consent records are retained as needed to apply and demonstrate your choices. Providers control retention for data they process independently under their own policies. The relevant criteria include the purpose, whether the service remains in use, legal duties and whether an outstanding issue requires the record. Contact us for information about a particular record.

10. Younger Players

Our intended game audience is aged 13 and over. An app store's content rating describes game content and is not proof of a player's age or permission to process their data. Requirements for younger players differ by country, and a teenager's ordinary agreement does not override those requirements.

Before enabling the rewarded-ad feature, the game asks for your age and saves only an age group on the device: under 13, 13-15, 16-17, or 18 and over. It does not save the entered number or a date of birth. The advertising integration does not start for an unknown age or for a player who indicates they are under 13. For players aged 13-17, it requests restricted, non-personalised advertising, applies the provider's age-related protections and disables access to the Android advertising identifier through the advertising integration. This does not mean that all technical data processing stops: contextual advertising may still use information necessary for delivery, security and fraud prevention. These players are not asked to give the adult advertising consent described above. Where additional permission or protection is required for a feature, it must not be enabled without the required safeguards. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal data inappropriately should contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Your Rights and Deletion Requests

Depending on your location and the processing involved, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and withdraw consent.

You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you may object to direct marketing. Where applicable US state law provides these rights, you may also opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising and appeal a decision on your privacy request by replying to our response. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Email contact@underdriftgames.com with the game name, platform and your request. We may need proportionate information to identify the relevant record and verify your authority. You can contact a provider directly about information it controls, using its linked notice; we can help identify the relevant provider.

Clearing local game data may erase progress and does not necessarily delete cloud saves, purchase records or provider-held advertising data. We will explain relevant deletion options and any lawful reason for retaining information when responding to a request.

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local data-protection authority. You do not have to contact us first.

12. Security and Changes

No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and platform account secure, and contact us if you suspect an issue involving our services.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required, and fresh consent requested where necessary. This policy describes data practices; publishing it alone does not activate advertising or establish your consent.
